BSNL revises Rs 187 recharge to rival Jio, offers unlimited free calling with 1GB data for 28 days
A BSNL recharge of Rs. 485 comes with the benefit of 1 GB of data per day for the first 90 days. BSNL said the effective date of implementation of prepaid plans may be vary from circle to circle.


BSNL Rs. 186 plan


Under its plan voucher priced at Rs. 186, BSNL offers 1 GB of mobile data for the first 28 days, according to its website. BSNL's Rs. 186 plan voucher also includes unlimited on-net and off-net voice calls - local as well as STD - in home LSA, according to its website. The Rs. 186 plan voucher comes with a validity period of 180 days. However, the 1GB data is applicable only for the first 28 days, according to BSNL.

BSNL Rs. 485 plan


BSNL's plan voucher priced at Rs. 485 (including GST) comes with a validity period of 180 days. However, the 90 GB of mobile data at a daily limit of 1 GB is applicable for the "first 90 days only", BSNL said. The Rs. 485 plan voucher includes unlimited on-net and off-net calls in the home LSA and national roaming (excluding Mumbai and Delhi), according to the BSNL website.

"PV186/485 will be available for J&K, Assam and NE-I/II also but with 90 days PV validity only," BSNL added.

BSNL or Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has announced new recharge plans at Rs. 186, Rs. 187 and Rs. 485. Under a promotional STV or special tariff voucher priced at Rs. 187, state-run telecom operator BSNL is offering unlimited voice calls along with 1 GB (gigabyte) of mobile data for a validity period of 28 days, according to its website - bsnl.co.in. Under another STV priced at Rs. 485, BSNL is offering unlimited voice calls over a validity period of 180 days, among other benefits, BSNL added on its website. BSNL's Rs. 485 plan also includes 1 GB of data per day however this benefit is applicable for the first 90 days, it mentioned. The effective date of implementation may be vary from circle to circle, thus the same may be confirmed from respective circle offices, according to BSNL.

Here are some of BSNL's new vouchers offered on a promotional basis:


BSNL Rs. 187 prepaid recharge plan


The state-run telecom operator BSNL has revised its Rs 187 recharge plan. Users will now get unlimited local and STD voice calls with 1GB of data and free caller tune for 28 days. Previously, the recharge only offered unlimited voice calling in a user’s home circle. Users will be charged as per their base plan when placing calls to Delhi and Mumbai region as BSNL doesn’t operate there.

As reported by telecomtalk, BSNL’s Rs 187 recharge is a limited time promotional plan which will be available for 90 days. It is reportedly working for Tamil Nadu BSNL users and could also be available for users in other circles as well, but users should check before recharging.


Apart from BSNL, Airtel and Vodafone have also launched prepaid plans priced at Rs 198 and Rs 199 respectively. The Airtel recharge plan is exclusively for their prepaid customers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circle and offers daily 1GB of 4G/3G data with a validity of 28 days. The Rs 199 recharge by Vodafone offers unlimited calling capped at 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes every week along with 1GB of 4G/3G data with a validity of 28 days.


The Rs. 187 recharge pack, according to BSNL, includes PRBT or Personalised Ring back Tone - a service that enables a subscriber to set up a tune instead of the default ring. Free calls offered under BSNL's recharge pack priced at Rs. 187, which includes GST (Goods and Services Tax), include local and STD calls made on the home LSA (Licensed Service Area) as well as BSNL's national roaming area (excluding Mumbai and Delhi), according to the telecom company's website. The Rs. 187 recharge plan or STV is applicable on both on-net - calls made on BSNL's own network - and off-net calls - calls made outside BSNL's network.
